Little Beggar

For this tutorial you will need the materials in the zip file below.

Unzip the materials into a working folder you have created on your desktop named Little Beggar. Please duplicate and close original tubes and use duplicates for your work. I have used the plugins Nik Software/Color Efex Pro 3.0 Complete, Artistic/Dry Brush and AAA Frames/Texture Frame in this tutorial. It is assumed you have a working knowledge of PSP to follow these directions. PSPX6 was used for this tutorial but other versions may be used.

Use the bookmark below to mark your place along the way.

1. In Materials Palette, set Foreground to #3b2520, Background to #cac0b8.

2. New/New Image 800px by 650px. Selections/Select All.

3. Open JHanna_346 background.jpg. Copy/Paste into Selection. CTRL+D.

4. Image/Mirror.

5. Open Tube1498_Old_Mill_in_Winter_mist_.pspimage. Copy/Paste as New Layer.

6. Image/Flip Horizontal.

7. Move building to left side of image.

8. Effects/Artistic/Dry Brush.

9. Lower Opacity to 62.

10. Paste building as New Layer again. Move to right side and down just a little bit.

11. Lower Opacity to 62.

12. Open E&E_S_0121120_estructuras.pspimage. Copy/Paste as New Layer.

13. Image/Mirror.

14. Image/Resize/Resize by 85%/Resize all layers unchecked.

15. Move benches to right bottom corner. See my finished tag for placement.

16. Highlight Raster 3. Using Eraser tool, erase away the building covering the tree and benches on right. See below.

17. Highlight Raster 4 layer (top layer) and duplicate. Merge/Merge Down.

18. Open 100_1806_Kessi_Winter.pspimage. Copy/Paste as New Layer.

19. Image/Resize/Resize by 70%/Resize all layers unchecked.

20. Effects/Artistic/Dry Brush using same settings as in Step #8.

21. Lower Opacity to 62.

22. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Vertical 18, Horizontal 36, Opacity 45, Blur 49, color #000000.

23. Move leaves into upper left corner.

24. Open Please Sir._.-tubed by A PSP Devil.pspimage. Copy/Paste as New Layer.

25. Image/Resize/Resize by 90%/Resize all layers unchecked.

26. Move little girl to bottom and right a little so her shoe is touching bottom of image.

27. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.

28. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Vertical 18, Horizontal 20, Opacity 45, Blur 49, color #000000.

29. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Vertical -18, Horizontal -20, Opacity 45, Blur 49, color #000000.

30. Open 0_a8808_a105d57a_M.png. Copy/Paste as New Layer.

31. Image/Resize/Resize by 53%/Resize all layers unchecked.

32. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.

33. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Vertical 18, Horizontal 20, Opacity 45, Blur 49, color #000000.

34. Image/Free Rotate. Left by 15 degrees.

35. Drop the Opacity of the bag layer down to 50% so you can see the little girl's hand through it.

36. Scroll your working image larger to 200% so you can see better where to select. Using the Freehand Selection tool, Point to Point, Feather 0, draw around little girl's fingers. Press Delete key. CTRL+D.

37. Scroll image back to normal size. Raise the Opacity back to 100%.

38. Image/Add Borders/Add 3px border, Symmetric checked, color #3b2520.

39. Image/Add Borders/Add 3px border, Symmetric checked, color #cac0b8.

40. Image/Add Borders/Add 3px border, Symmetric checked, color #3b2520.

41. Effects/AAA Frames/Texture Frames.

42. Effects/Nik Software/Color Efex Pro 3.0/All tab/Glamour Glow.

43. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.

Sign your name if you wish and save your image as a .jpg or .png image with the name Little Beggar.
