Another World

For this tutorial you will need the materials in the zip file below.

Unzip the materials into a working folder you have created on your desktop named Another World. Please duplicate and close original tubes using the copies for your work so you will not lose the originals. Place Narah_Mask_0930 in your PSP/Masks folder. Click on the OrangePurpleGlobe .f1s to install it into your Eye Candy Impact. Place the Galactic.PspGradient in your PSP/Gradient folder. The following plugins were used: Contour/Aerographe, Mystic Nights/Buttonize, Graphics Plus/Cross Shadow, AP 01 [Innovations]/Mirror-Reflections, Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact/Glass, Filters Unlimited 2.0/Sandflower Specials/Pool Shadow, Xero/Porcelain and various PSP effects are used in this tutorial. I have used PSP2020 for this tutorial but other versions may be used. It is assumed you have a working knowledge of PSP to follow these directions.

Use the little globe below to mark your place along the way.

1. In Materials Palette, set Foreground to #b25130, Background to #52457b. Create a Gradient using Corel_06_029_foreground/background, Radial, Angle 40/ Repeats 0, Invert unchecked, Center Point at 0/100 and Focal Point set to null.

2. New/New Image 646px by 823px. Flood fill with Gradient.

3. Using Magic Wand, click within the purple half to activate it.

4. Effects/AP 01 [Innovations]/Mirror-Reflections.

5. Selections/Invert. Repeat Mirror-Reflections. Deselect.

6. In Materials Palette, change the gradient to Galactic.PspGradient.

7. Using Magic Wand select purple top. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill with Galactic gradient.

8. Effects/Contours/Aerographe.

9. Selections/Invert. Drop down to Raster 1.

10. Effects/Mystic Nights/Buttonize. Selections Invert. Move to Raster 2 (top).

11. Effects/Filters Unlimited 2.0/ Sandflower Specials V/Pool Shadow. Deselect.

12. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Horizontal 25, Vertical -7, Opacity 38, Blur 15, color #000000.

13. Effects/Photo Effects/Vinette.

14. Layers/New Raster Layer. Go to Galactic in Materials palette. Check Invert. Flood fill the new layer.

15. Open Vrouw_173_Pink.png of woman. Remove all of Pink's watermark.

16. Using Selections tool set to Point to Point, Freehand Selection, go around woman's top to middle as shown below. Copy.

17. Paste as New Raster Layer in working image.

18. Image/Mirror. Mirror Horizontal. Merge/Merge Down.

19. Effects/Image Effects/Seamless Tiling.

20. Effects/Distortion Effects/Pixelate.

21. Effects/Geometric Effects/Circle.

22. Effects/Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact/Glass. Click on PurpleOraneGlobe under settings, OK.

23. Image/Resize/Resize by 38%/Resize all layers unchecked.

24. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Horizontal 18, Vertical 21, Opacity 34, Blur 30, color #000000.

25. Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance.

26. Place globe at the bottom of the orange floor.

27. Layers/New Raster Layer. Flood fill with color #b25130.

28. Layers/Load/Save Mask/Load Mask from Disk. From drop down arrow, select Narah_Mask_0930. Load.

29. Merge/Merge Group.

30. Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance.

31. Effects/Edge Effects/Enhance More.

32. Move mask layer below the globe layer. Use globe top layer to continue. Duplicate globe.

33. Image/Resize/Resize by 72%/Resize all layers unchecked.

34. Move second globe to center left of image.

35. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Horizontal -18, Vertical -21, Opacity 34, Blur 30, color #000000.

36. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.

37. Duplicate. Image/Resize/Resize by 72%/Resize all layers unchecked.

38. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.

39. Move third globe to center area of mask.

40. Duplicate third globe.

41. Image/Resize/Resize by 72%/Resize all layers unchecked.

42. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.

43. Move fourth globe to upper right.

44. Duplicate fourth globe.

45. Image/Resize/Resize by 72%/Resize all layers unchecked.

46. Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpen.

47. Move 5th globe to upper right corner.

48. Open Vrouw_173_Pink.png. (Her watermark has already been removed). Copy.

49. Paste as New Layer. Move lady to bottom of image and right so her head touches the 3rd globe.

50. Effects/Xero/Porcelain.

51. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow. Horizontal -17, Vertical -21, Opacity 38, Blur 15, color #000000.

52. Image/Add Borders/Add 11px border, color #6ca69f, Symmetric checked.

53. Activate 11px border with Magic Wand.

54. Effects/Graphics Plus/Cross Shadow.

55. Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel.

56. Deselect. Image/Add Borders/Add 5px border, color #b25130, Symmetric checked.

57. Stamp your name or watermark on tag if you wish.
